Hey,
when i try to open n mpeg2 file with the dimensions 1920x1080 everything works fine!
BUT when the file has 1920x1088, the window shows just black!
why?

There is a hard-coded limit of 1920 x 1080 in the decoder.

that's bad
here in germany we get the hdtv streams mostly in 1920x1088
don't know why...

Interesting! I didn't know that about German HDTV. 1920 x 1080 = 16:9, but your 1088 actually makes better sense because it's an even multiple of 16.

It's no problem for me to raise the limit to 1088. In fact, it's good that you brought this up now, because I was just getting ready to release a new build of 1.5.10 which supports 24-bit 96KHz LPCM.

Yes, that would be great if you could do that as the HDTV streams in Australia are 1440 x 1088 (saves bandwidth to stretch to 16:9 at the decoder end rather than broadcast the full resolution). So far I've been limited to editing SDTV streams (576i/p in Australia).
