I can import whatever I want, Vdub always claims "AVI: Variable bitrate (VBR) audio detected....". What cause this message? Just to show that the program is wrong here an example

As you can see, the convertion program created the AVI with constant bitrate, Vdub still claims it is VBR.
Does anyone know, how to get rid of this annoying message? |

Actually, mediainfo is the one lying Virtualdub reads the audio index and works out the bitrate all the way through You can see in your screenshot that the bitrate is 192 +- 0.6kbps It's 192, but not exactly the same all the way through the file
The other way to report it is to just read the files header and report what it says (mediainfo)
Of course, that way is fine for 'kind of' rates, but has caused problems for people in the past with desync when cutting/saving
You can turn it off by doing this Menu -> Options -> Preferences -> Avi -> Warn when vbr audio detected (untick)
Funnily enough your screenshot of virtualdubs warning does tell you how to turn it off, all you had to do was read the message?
