if Im still missing this codec , can someone please post the codec here ? No packages please , just the mp4V codec.
Also I like to know what the V stands for in mp4V ? |

The only input plugin I need is this one: FFmpeg input driver. ...And sometimes the built in DirectShow plugin.
Anyway, mp4v is a subtype of MPEG-4 Video (divx/xvid/h263/etc). |

When the framesize of that video is not a multiple of 4/8/16 pixels, it can be that the actual decoder has a problem with it, and that the images are not shown as straigth.
May I recommend you to try to open the video from within VirtualDub by using the DirectShow or the FFMPeg inputdriver plugins (like raffriff42 already proposed to do).
You can find the DirectShow plugin here: http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...=ST&f=7&t=15093 (take care to whether install the 32- or 64-bits version corresponding to the xx-bit installation of VirtualDub).
Repeating once again: When in the "Open video file"-dialogbox of VirtualDub: > first select the video (one single click); > then at "Files of type" do select "DirectShow input driver" > and then click onto the Open-button.
You can try the similar action when using the FFMPeg inputdriver plugin (now selecting "FFMPeg Supported Files").
Good luck. |

Good luck. | that will only work if ffdshow is installed , correct ??? I have the FFInputDriver.vdplugin already in my plugin folder, but at "files of type" this option does not show at open files. Is this because when I installed ffdshow , by default they are mostly turned off(disabled) like this - attached screen shot- http://www.mediafire.com/view/0lujmgore75l.../no-ffdshow.jpg |

FFinput does not depend on ffdshow - they are independent of one another.
Are you running VirtualDub 32 bit 1.10.x?
Have you put the files in the plugins32 folder, like this?

...and you don't see the FFMpeg option in the open dialog?

The recent version of FFMPeg inputdriver plugin is NOT compatible with VirtuaDub 1.9.11 and does not show up in "Files of type:".
So, an extra thing to do, is to install (unzip) the most recent version of VirtualDub 1.10.5-xx (at preference 64-bit, corresponding to the operating system): > http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...ST&f=15&t=22042 and install (also unzip) the FFMPeg plugin (64-bits) to its plugins64 subfolder.
Let us hope that you can get it finally at work ... |
