Hi I'm new to VirtualDub and ran into an issue with my pc going to sleep while VirtualDub was working at saving an avi.
Here's some info about my machine: Windows 8 Pro 2.8 GHz AMD Phenom II X4 830 12 GB ram 1 TB Hard drive ...not really sure what info is relevant here
Anyway, I have my pc set to sleep after 1 hr idle. I was working on a video (10 GB) last night using null transform and resize filters and saved as avi. While VDub was working I changed the thread priority to "Highest" and then left the VirtualDub to do it's thing while I slept.
I woke up this morning and noticed the pc was sleeping. I assumed that my avi was saved, and that the pc slept after that. But when I woke the computer, VDub was still only half way done saving my file...pc went to sleep and paused my VDub job. Clearly the pc wasn't actually idle for 1hr, but it went to sleep anyway.
Is there any way to prevent the pc from going to sleep/hibernate while VirtualDub is working on something? |

In the preferences, on the render section, is 'prevent system from going to sleep.....' ticked?

Current versions have an option under Options | Render | Prevent System From Going To Sleep During Render that should prevent this, if enabled. |
