Looks like a error message from DirectShow import driver (input plugin).

You have installed required DirectShow filters (splitter and decoders)?
You can play this file in WMP?

Maybe try other input plugin - such as fccHandler's QuickTime plugin (appropriate VfW and ACM codecs are required), Tateu's QuickTime plugin (QuickTime is required) or FFInputDriver...

If it's the directshow plugin, you'd need

Some way of splitting the file, eg
Haali Media Splitter
http://haali.su/mkv/

Some way of decoding the file, eg
ffdshow, and enabling the required codec (like h264, aac etc)
http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/
or
