I found this issue with 1.9.11. While doing a screen capture, I was only able to maintain about 4 fps. This is strange because I went back and tried the same capture using version 1.8.8 and had no problems at 30 fps. When I turned on the audio meter, I was capturing at 30 fps (in 1.9.11) with no dropped or inserted frames. Turn off the audio meter, and I was back at about 4 fps.
Codec was ffdshow XviD at Quality of 90 and a resolution of 1280 x 768.
Just thought you might like to know. |

One thing that comes to mind is that 1.8.x and 1.9.x use different Registry keys and thus different settings. Check Video > Video Source; you may have OpenGL acceleration enabled in one and not the other. |

I've tried everything and the only way I can seem to prevent frames from being inserted is to make sure that the volume meter is turned on. |
