I'm starting to think I'm cursed.
So, I just spent about... six to eight hours running an hour and fifteen minute long video through Virtualdub so as to fix both the sync issue and the stability issue (since it's a Camstudio video that's over 2 GB)
The end result, though... a ton of stuff was... BLUE.
It wasn't a solid blue frame, but so many things got colored a shade of blue.
It would be kinda neat if it weren't for the fact that I spent all of last night trying to fix the video so as to be presentable to Youtube, and this happens.
Please help...
I'm running Virtualdub 64 bit, version 1.9.10, build 32839, on Windows Vista, also 64 bit.
EDIT: Wow, I meant to post this in the newbie forums. My bad, though I guess this could be considered a bug report of sorts.
In any case, here's a sample of the video.

EDIT 2:
And once again, I figured out the solution on my own. Direct Stream was the solution. It'll make the file bigger, but that's okay. |

What video codec You use in CamStudio? CamStudio Lossless Codec, Microsoft Video 1, ...? Or maybe saved as uncompressed?

It's odd... Direct Stream Copy does not change video image and file should be no larger.

It's odd... Direct Stream Copy does not change video image and file should be no larger. | I use the Lossless Codec in Camstudio.
As for the solution, the problem was that the image was indeed being changed. Direct Stream Copy made it so that it wasn't being changed. I was using the ffsdhow codec to compress it, but none of the codecs seemed to work, not even the "uncompressed" codec. So... yeah. Full Processing was the problem, Direct Stream Copy was the solution. |

Recorded video is in AVI container?
Video is decoded by original codec or ffdshow?
What if You use 32-bit version of VirtualDub?
BTW You can upload ('original' - not processed) sample on some file sharing service (sendspace, mediafire or similar)?

You see, it's over 2 GB. Camstudio does not like recording videos over two GB. So, it ended up being unreadable except by Virtualdub (which needed the ffdshow codecs in order to read the Camstudio codec - see my topic in the codecs section) and that's why I needed to use Virtualdub in the first place. Also to correct the sync.
In any case, the whole thing is resolved. There's no need to resolve anything more.
I haven't tried 32 bit Virtualdub, actually. But I've got things working just fine now. So nothing needs to change yet. |

VirtualDub 64-bit require 64-bit codecs - CamStudio Lossless codec exist (actually) only in 32-bit version (can't be used in VD 64-bit).
So... it's problem with ffdshow. Should be suffice change color depth in VirtualDub or temporarily disable RGB24 in Output tab in ffdshow video encoder config. Of course if You want re-encode this video (no need for Direct Stream Copy).
