I'm using VDub on an Athlone 1600+ system (512K RAM) running Win2k and trying to capture from a Pixelview PlayTV Pro card (rev 9D, I think). I have two issues which I hope I've come to the proper place to have answered (if not, my apologies in advance).
1) When I put it into capture mode, the image shown and captured is skewed off to the right and down, losing a small section of the right hand and bottom sides of the video and introducing a black bar on the left and top. Is this a problem with my Pixelview drivers (should I, e.g., try the universal WDM drivers ?) or with the WDM wrapper?
2) The image shown in capture is often dark and I want to adjust the contrast, etc. These settings, though, are not adjustable. A box next to them marked "Automatic" is ticked (but can't be deselected ), and the settings are fixed in the default position. Again, is this a function of the Pixelview driver or a bug?!

Same shift of image (down and to the right) takes place - though perhaps not quite as much - when running the system under Win98. |
