Hi. Ever since I first downloaded VirtualDubMod, I've never been able to build a functioning MKV with it. I always have to use MKVTools.
Any MKV I create with VDM plays for 1 second and then crashes my player. The player I'm using is Media Player Classic 6.4.8.2 with internal Matroska support shut off (I use an external splitter).
Anyway, I'm using VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.1 Build 2366. I'm also using what I believe to be the latest Matroska splitter and muxer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
EDIT: I'm using splitter 1021 and muxer 1008. They are installed properly. I also have upgraded to VDM build 2424, which still does not fix the problem.
This problem has occured across multiple video cards, motherboards, and drive reformats, BTW. |

does the internal splitter in MPC work perhaps?
unfortunately, VirtualDubMod is not actively developed anymore, so you would have to use other tools if you cant get it to work. Perhaps AVIMux GUI can split Matroska files based on filesize if thats what you are looking for.

Well, I figured out how to split the MKV, and both parts even worked for a while, but once I deleted all the other files (VOBs, SSA, etc) they only played for a second each and then died! WTF? |
