I'm trying to use VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.1 (build 2366/release) that came with the Gordian Knot Rip Pack 0.28.7. During encoding, I receive this error before crashing:

"Virtualdubmod has caused an error in USER.EXE. Virtualdubmod will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer."

I have tried:

- reinstalling Gordian Knot/Virtualdubmod

- applying the bugfixes 1.5.10.1 build 2424

- installing VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.1 (all inclusive) separately

and I still receive the error. I've searched the web and errors in USER.EXE seem to also be caused by spyware infecting Internet Explorer and improper display settings. I also tried:

- running Norton antivirus software and Lavasoft's Ad-aware

- lowering my colors from 32bit

- checking to make sure the monitor is properly set up

- reinstalling my video card drivers

and I still receive the error. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
