If VirtualDubMod gives you an error or crashes, please glance over this brief checklist before you post a report here. Also, as Belgabor said on Doom9, you must submit ALL bug reports to the tracker.
- Make sure that you are using the latest version of VirtualDubMod.
- Use the forum search function to search for some similar error text in all forums from any date. It's often the case that someone else has seen the same error and fixed it.
- If VirtualDubMod crashes on your system, post the full text of the crash log. If no log is generated, quote the exact error test from the Windows crash dialog.
- Explain in detail exactly what you were doing when the error happened. For example, if you were encoding a video, tell us the name of the codec and what settings you used. Also list any video filters you were using.
- Be patient. Your post won't be answered immediately, and it may never get answered if you haven't done the things I described above.
