I've got the encoding priority defaulted to "Idle", and when it loads up a single job, that's the priority it runs at. However, if I queue up several jobs in the Job Control window, sometime the first one will run at Idle, but more often than not they go back to "Normal" Priority. Am I just completely missing something here? I'd very much like it if I could queue up a whole buncha encoding tasks to run at Idle, since I plan on updating my home-theater playback box to run encoding tasks in the background, leaving my primary machine free for stuff like gaming. I'd like to be able to have the encoding running in the background, but still be able to fire up a Divx movie to watch without having to open up the status window and drop the priority down by hand(since I'd have to do it again once the next job started, etc).

IIRC you can change the default priority levels under Options/Preferences.

Nevermind, I found it. I'd never used the Options menu in the actual Job Control window in regular VDub, so I never thought to look there. VDubMod's got a separate Priority setting for the Job Control tasks. Very neat addition to the program, I might add! I just wish I'd known it was there. smile.gif
