Hi it's my first time trying to cut AVIs trying to fit them onto CDs. It took me about an hour to cut the first half of a 2hr 13min movie, and after that there was no sound from the cut clip!? I selected Full processing mode for both audio and video which VCDHelp stated. Is there something wrong with what I did? Should I instead have selected Direct Stream Copy for both audio video, and that would take a mere second or 2? Virtualdub also mentioned that the cut avi file would be very big when i first tried to cut it without toggling the target frame rate - 40gb!! for a 1hr clip...how is that??

if you just wanna split an EXISTING avi file (without re-encoding), then you should use direct stream copy for both audio and video.

but if your audio is vbr, then you'll have to use nandub instead.
