When i start it up i click on compile new cd then video cd.I drag over the mpeg. Then i click on burn to cd.But instead of burning it to a cd it saves an image file to the hard drive.
what do i do?

That is happening because the current device selected is Image Recorder, you have to set it to your CD-Writer. If you have nero 6 u can see it at the center top of the window, if you have an older version search the menu for CHOOSE RECORDER.
Hope it helped.

What version of Nero are u using?
I'm using v5.5.10.35 and under recorder lists your available recorder options...
Tried v6... but didn't like it. Everytime I put a new cd in, the recoding name of last cd I did would come up a name for my new cd. instead of 'New'... so I went back to a version I had no problems with...

Its V5.5.5.1

you could always use a P2P file shareing program and do a search for a newer version of Nero. I no longer have that version so I wouldn't know much about its faults.

You could also download the latest trial of Nero from their site (www.nero.com) and try it. Chances are that your burner might be of a newer model and at the time v5.5.5.1 came out your burner might not have been listed in their database.

I have to ask - you mean CD Writer, or Burner or something, right?
