Basically, VD isn't recognizing the AAC LC (stereo) audio stream in my .mp4 file. I can get VD to load the file, and edit, etc. But, there's no audio. If I trans-mux the .mp4 file to an mkv, VD then recognizes the audio stream. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? Please, think of me as an 'experienced' beginner with VD. Thanks in advance!

Which plug-ins installed? Mine works! (meowmeow can hear mp4 aac in VD preview, no filters) Instead of old mp4 plugin - quicktime 30.9.2012. With aac acm installed into system (win-7-32)

meowmeow: hmmm ... OH, I've got an old version of the quicktime plugin ... I just downloaded and installed the latest one from fccHandler ... works! I also got rid of the MP4InputDriver plugin. Man ... I love Virtualdub ... there's nothing like it! Thanks meowmeow for your help .... and especially fccHandler!
