I've just noticed Vdub's internal audio and video noise filters, that can be enabled during capture... Great thing I thought, but it was not easy to set up due to no preview available (I mean the same kind of preview as offline filters). I tried with preview turned on, but it's hard to say if the value will be too strong or not. Audio noise reduction didn't seem to do anything. Any tips are welcome! |

Using noise reduction during a capture sounds like a bad idea. I've always felt that it is best to capture to an intermediate format, say Huffyuv with uncompressed PCM audio, then set up all my filtering and noise reduction and compressors afterwards, for producing the final video. (Of course, you'll need a LOT of hard drive space and a LOT of time.)
