Guys, I just switched my system to 64 bit and got the 64 bit of VD working for my gopro videos.
Now I use mainly 2 plugins deshaker and frame tweaker. Deshaker has already a 64bit version and it works. But frame tweaker doesn't. Now all posts I read are suggesting to switch back to the 32 bit version, but after trying the rendering and encoding with the 64 bit version, its just sooo darn fast!! ohmy.gif There is no way on earth that I am switching back! ;-) 64 or NOTHING!

So if anyone knows how to get fade in/outs with the 64 version please let me know.
Thanks

You can fade almost any effect in/out using the blending feature
Quick run through https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVLsDW5nQso

Is there anything in particular that works faster for you in 64bit version?

Thanks I will give it a try!
I also wrote an email to the maker of frame tweaker...

On the 64 bit it seems to me everything to be faster.
When Im viewing the video in full HD before it use to go really slow now I see it real time.
Also the compression speed increased significantly almost a factor3/4 to 2. It's just amazing! ohmy.gif
I'm loving it!

That kind of difference sounds much more like there's something with different settings for the 32 and 64 bit versions (decoders/encoders/options etc)

In a quick test of x264 in 32 and 64 bit versions, a test clip gives me 6mins (64bit) and 6mins 30 secs (32bit)

Also, you might not know but...
You can use external encoders and use 64bit encoders from 32bit virtualdub (or 32bit encoders from 64bit virtualdub if you like
