Hello,
I'm trying to run my "new" Decklink SP capture card with Virtualdub 1.10 and Win7. Since it's a DirectShow compatible card, I can see it as a device (it says Decklink Video Capture), but it is unable to select - the error says simply "Virtualdub cannot connect to the desired capture card". Of course I installed the latest Decklink-Driver (10.1) and I tried both the 64bit und the 32bit version of VD and got the same error. I suggest it's a driver issue?
Maybe there is a simple solution, before I try each and every setting, at least I hope so

I do not know if it may help...
I have tried to reproduce the error message that you get when selecting your capture device, with VirtualDub version 1.10.5-prerelease build 35560.
When in "capture mode" (via File > Capture AVI...), I can only get the message "Virtualdub cannot connect to the desired capture card", by clicking the Device-menu > Microsoft WDM Image Capture (Win32) (VFW) > and selecting my capture device "VCR2PC Capture", and clicking OK.
When I select my device directly in the Device-menu > VCR2PC Capture (DirectShow), there is no problem.
So, in my situation, I have to select the "DirectShow"-driver instead of the "VFW"-driver, to make it work.
My capture device is an ION Video 2 PC, connected via USB. |
