Hi Everyone !
I'm using VirtualDub to batch process many files (50 shot of 200 frames a day) with NeatVideo denoise. The main goal is to denoise passes (aka layers). The denoise is processed on the ambiant occlusion passes and the processes are controled by a python script and a batch. I'm using Windows 7 x64 and the 64bit version of VirtualDub.
My problem is that I need to keep the Alpha channel data. But when I export files sequences, Alpha Channel information is lost. (I tried to save in various image format)
Is it possible to keep the alpha channel ??? I set 32bit color depth, but the alpha is white.
Hope someone can help me !

Sorry, myself I am not that clever in these kind of things, but maybe it can already help a bit ...
Info about only support for 24-bit color information in this thread: > http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...=ST&f=2&t=18953
Info about a modified version of VirtualDub supporting "Alpha channel" for PNG format: > http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...=ST&f=4&t=17643
These two threads are dated before early december 2010 and related to VirtualDub version 1.9.11 or before.
In VirtualDub version 1.10.5-build 35512, via Help > Change Log... , at Build 33848 (1.10.0, exp...) there is a mention about an added feature for: . Images: Added support for PNG alpha channel. but myself, I do not exactly know what this should mean and if it can help you.
I'am almost sure, that you will get more information soon from other people browsing this forum. |
