Hi all,
I'm trying to do something similar to After Effect's feature "difference matte", or "difference key" It's also what can be done with Blender as shown here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeGxm4QYfLI It's also called "background subtraction.
Basically it's when you feed the software with a still image of the background in order to isolate the foreground of the scene (e.g. keep only the moving character).
I can't find any free or cheap application to do this. As said above, Blender seems to do it but I don't really trust the power of its video processing algorithms (it's mainly a 3D software isn't it?)
Does VirtualDub or Wax do that? I can't find a plugin to do this.
