I've been reading various posts and instructions on other websites regarding this, but I keep ending up with terrible results. My video editing software (Cyberlink PowerDirector) has few options for HD video output, so the video that I want to put on youtube is in a format best suited for a Bluray disc, I believe: some type of 1080i MPEG2 format.
I tried uploading this to youtube but the interlacing is pretty bad once it gets up on the site. Can I use VirtualDub to convert my files into deinterlaced video that retains the HD quality, without being too huge of a size? I've already installed things like an MPEG plugin to read in the files themselves, and various deinterlacing plugins in addition to what VirtualDub comes with.
When I try to apply these filters and save the file as an AVI, I end up with a file that's often a completely different size, with tons of stuttering and distortion of the audio.
Does anyone know of a good workflow somewhere for deinterlacing 1080i mpeg2 video files with VirtualDub? Thanks! |
