Is there a plugin that can minimize this:
http://rjschat.dyndns.org:8080/paranoha/ap...fruit-shift.avi

The strawberries turn into a purplish color on and off. This also happens with pinks where they turn a dull orange when the color shifts.

I find that even at not so close ranges that the colors will shift back and forth. Ifit wasn't for this shifting the Jazz cameras are decent.

Try this out, it might help.

I gave MSU deflicker a try and also the one by Donald Graft and they didn't seem to do anything for the color shift.

I had an idea to try an avisynth script with Coloryuv "autowhite" to see if that would sustain the color but it looks like that didn't work. I then tried some white balance V2.0 plugin but it totally borked Vdub, that plugin is 100% unusable. The idea was in hoping to use white balance with curve editing for only the problem sections. A bit tedious I think but it seemed logical.

I hope I explain the following correctly since I just experienced this while looking around for solutions to the color shifting:

I had to try the above avisynth method in a different Vdub folder because in the 1.10.0 experimental version I couldn't open AVS scripts because the FFinputDriver was put into plugins32 folder. There seems to be a conflict with opening AVS file with that driver included. I verified this by removing those driver files out from that Vdub directory and I was able to load AVS files once again.

The only thing that came to mind was that the FFinputDriver accepts only RGB32 format but by drag/dropping the file the video should open regularly since I'm using AVIsource in the script. Just for ha-ha's I entered the ConvertToRGB32() line to see if the FFinputDriver was in fact loading the AVS script but I still got the error?

Update: I just copied the FFinputDriver files to Vdub 1.9.9 and the same error happens. When I put the files into Karl's Vdub directory there is some extra information such as "failed loading ffavisynth.dll" (ffavisynth.avsi, line 1)" Happens with AVIsource and DirectShowsource.

Does this mean that the FFinputDriver is taking over when it is put into the plugins32 directory or is there a conflict going on?

Yeah, it was a shot in the dark.
You might have to invest in something which generates better video I think lol.

Yeah, lol, for $20.00 you get what you pay for. Biglots special, lol. I just wanted something to play around with and not have to deal with big files just for fun.

I could save up for an E4700 core2 chip since that is what my board will support. Right now I can't afford to buy extra stuff, limited budget but I'm taking it that a core2 would at least be better than the P4 I currently have. Think the E4700 was like $100.00 on Amazon or Newegg.

also I can understand 720 video being demanding but my ram gets sucked up big time which confuses me. I can only load about 11 minutes of flip video in any editor until the ram gets spent and the program barfs at me. I'm using an old program called Freeram XP pro which can be a mistake using if it is set to auto-free at the wrong time, lol. Anymore ram and I would need a 64 bit system.

Funny thing is I have seen people deal with HD on laptops smoothly with no issues which baffles me. I don't see how they can operate with the slower disk drives and the heat? You might be able to cook bacon and eggs on one of those things but that person's laptop wipes the floor with my computer.

The video card might have something to do with it. Also, the core 2 duo makes a difference. I strongly suggest moving into a 64 bit os if you can and pile on the ram because its cheap as hell these days. Checkout slickdeals.net for ram prices. I saw DD3 8 gigs for 25 bucks the other day. Sick.

I don't have an external card. Guess I should look into getting one. I had thought that the video clips themselves are small enough to load even though they are 720. Are the frames being decompressed to uncompressed format in Vegas by any chance?
