I'm in the process of converting some divx3 to mpeg to make svcd's. I normally use TYMPGEnc to do this but ended up with a file twice as long with second half blank. At present I'm using the foolproof guide at vcdhelp.(Since I'm having problems does this mean I'm a Fool?)HA HA. I get to step 7 where a small window pops up and nothing happens. After about 3 hours all I have is a 1k file. This is the point where it has been saved as a .vdr file and is supose to be resizing and encoding it into a mpeg.

Any help will be appreciated.

Sorry, but this is a Virtualdub support board and you cant encode MPEGs with Vdub ... i suggest you visit support boards like www.doom9.org or www.vcdhelper.com ....

--------------------
Visit the unofficial Virtualdub support forum on http://forums.virtualdub.org - help to reduce the big number of emails Avery Lee is getting every day !!
Support matroska as container and Gstreamer as the only truely open, x-platform multimedia platform ....
