Hey all, I'm new to all of this so apologies if this question seems dumb,

I tried to convert an mpg to an avi and a prompt warned me about compression. I'd like to use dixv, it seems like the standard, and I have the player installed, but divx doesn't come up under my compression options, and there doesn't seem to be a way to import codecs in so I'm kind of at a loss...

Any help appreciated,

Dan

Welcome puredemo,

You have to install the DivX Codec, not only the player, get the codec from www.divx.com and install it. Should work, I think

BTW: I dont know, if its possible to install the player only, but who knows, but I know that you need the codec. smile.gif
