I break the roules here.
But I feal this goes for all that have been using freeware in many years and GNU/GPL licens software and for these arthurs
XVID have stop the devlopping becase they say Sigma Designs have stole the src code in Sigma Designs Software RMP4 Codecc.

thanx dude... you were just faster than me...
in fact, although Xvid is one of our disallaowed codecs here, we should spread the word...
I already did and mailt to Christian Persson (Chefredakteur der C't und verantwortlich für den Textteil (editor-in-chief of a german computer magazine - C't - and responsible for the press))

Not at all. As long as you dont discuss about how to use the codec, means what settings etc. are the best to make your movies look nicer, i dont have a problem you are talking about the codec at all .... and lets see, maybe the whole mess with SIGMA will lead to a new situation where 'somebody' will pay the MPEG4 licenses for XviD team  ....
