The most easy way to be able to OPEN wmv videofiles in VirtualDub 1.10.5, is to download and install the FFMPeg Inputdriver plugin.
Download (the ZIP-file): http://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualdub...16.zip/download
Installation: This goes by unzipping/extracting the right range of files (plugins32 or plugins64 subfolder) to the subfolder with the same name in your VirtualDub. Do not forget to also extract the ffdlls subfolder to the pluginsxx folder.

To be able to save/EXPORT to WMV from within VirtualDub 1.10.5, you will have to: - download and extract ffmpeg.exe out of the *.7z file (http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/ - static build) - setup the "encoding" for WMA audio and WMV video + "muxing", via Options > External encoders... - after that has been done, you can use File > Export > Using external encoder... to create the file
At the beginning it can be a little bit difficult...
You can read more about exporting to WMV in following thread: http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...&p=93680&st=135 Start reading from Jul 7 2013 |

Although the thread eventually explains all, it is quite long (13 pages). Getting external encoders working correctly takes some trial and error.
Here's my quick start guide, explaining how to download and import pre-built external encoder sets, including one with WMV support: http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...=ST&f=3&t=21733 |
