I read some directions online that had told me to remove the tape flap before unscrewing the shell. Well I did that and it looks like I can't get the flap working correctly but it is back in. The spring that goes on one of the plastic backs sticks out and when I attempt to get it in, the spring just falls into the cassette shell. There is a secondary spring that came undone as well from the inside.

Something is telling me that the lid maybe didn't have to be touched at all. I'm a bit pissed about this but this was my first time replacing tape into a new shell so I shouldn't be too hard on myself. I was able to put the old tape into a new shell, capture the video and save the day.

The lid is back on but it won't retract which I'm highly guessing that was the job of the springs. The instructions didn't mention anything about springs.

No idea what the secondary little spring was for. Could had been from the other cassette shell. I figure out how to put the main spring back in. You have to put the hook end of the spring around a nub that is on the little peg and put the long end of the spring in a groove under where the top flap will be over. Got the flap door retracting.
