Hey guys,
If you have more than once instance of Virtualdub open at the same time and you add batch operations separately, then close them, only one will have survived. Similarly if you're running your batch operations and you add additional jobs from a second instance of Virtualdub those also will disappear. I was wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or if there's a way to add everything to some master job list that propagates across all instances of the program. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Yes you can
You can used a shared jobs list and one or many virtualdub's sharing the list You can select it each time on the jobs control dialogs file menu Or make a shortcut to virtualdub and add a bit of text to it
You can start virtualdub in two modes with the shared jobs list, as master or slave Master is pretty much just normal virtualdub but using the shared jobs file Slave mode starts virtualdub with the shared jobs file, but then automatically starts encoding the jobs
Here's more information about it, and it's also in the help under 'batch operation' as 'distributed mode' (because you can also run it on many pc's all sharing the same list) http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...aster,and,slave
