Some video formats/encoders require an audio track, so if you don't want any audio in your video, then you need to insert a silent audio track.
At the moment you have the option to use the audio from another file, but you then you have to manually create a silent track in an audio editor of sufficient length. This is not such a big issue, but it is a bit more problematic when you have a large batch job of files to process.
Therefore it would be handy if under the Audio menu if there was an option to "insert silence" alongside the No audio, Source audio and Audio from other file menu items. It would also need an option to select the sample size/rate and number of channels for the silence (with default of stereo 48 KHz, 16 bit). |
