I just checked my logs, and some idiot last week ran a web spider on this forum that hammered the web server at a rate of four page loads/sec, transferring 2.9GB over 20 hours. I don't know who it was, or even if the person was a registered member, but this is a really stupid idea. It consumes a lot of bandwidth and CPU time on the server and generally makes the forum run slow. So whoever you are, don't do it again!

Here's a nice picture of the traffic, btw:

Couldn't you find it out simply by checking the IP address of the person who hammered your site against the list of IP addresses that correspond to the registered users and then warn/ban that person?

Disaster, you should ban or warn that user. He, probably, uses Teleport Pro, who has option to log in on forums and download ALL content.
