I used the resize filter on an iRacing video capture recorded with FRAPS to crop out the status and header bars. The video is great, but the audio stutters. I set it to full processing mode, even saved the sound as a .wav file and used it as the audio source, but that did not fix it either. I finally used Windows Live Movie Maker to add the .wav file, but surely there is an easier way?

Can you tell us what audio compression codec that you are using (via Audio > Compression...), when you make the choice for Audio > Full processing mode ?

If you have no audio codec available in VirtualDub, you can best install and use the Lame MP3 encoder, that you can find here:

skirsch, it's normal for a Fraps file to stutter on playback. It is a lightly compressed file - much bigger in bits-per-second than normal movies. It has to be compressed. If you compressed it in MovieMaker, that explains why it plays smoothly now. How did you compress the video (if at all) in VirtualDub?

May I recommend:
RaffRiff's 'awesome' VirtualDub tutorial
Fraps to YouTube with H.264
