I wonder if there is any way of doing VirtualDub view high-definition video recorded on. TS.

I've tried to use Avisynth, but the screen turns gray and does not reproduce the image.

You can open videos. TS in Virtualdub?

Thanks.

Scroll down to 'how to load' various formats using Avisynth

http://avisynth.org/mediawiki/FAQ_loading_...g_clips#non-avi

Also, North American TV recordings in .ts format can be converted to .mpg using HDTV2MEG2.
The mpeg2 can be loaded into VirtualDub directly (if it has the mpeg2 plugin installed).

So, but I've tried to open with avisynth using the file Script.avs, but the image does not appear, just get the gray background.

You know what could be the problem?

Thanks.

You could also try with the DirectShow input plugin.

Do you use the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of VirtualDub?
Is it updated (1.9.11)?
When in VirtualDub you select File => Open video file you must select "DirectShow input driver" from the drop down list.

Does the video play correctly in Windows Media Player? (if it doesn't play then it won't work also in VirtualDub with the DirectShow input plugin)

With Direct Show Input Driver, the file is "open " but the screen is black.

This file is a TS-MPEG2, HDTV recording made.

Does it really Virtualdub can not open?

What do you mean with "the screen is black"?
A lot of videos start with black frames.

You haven't replied to this:
1) Do you use the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of VirtualDub?
2) Is it updated (1.9.11)?
3) Most important => Does the video play correctly in Windows Media Player? (if it doesn't play then it won't work also in VirtualDub with the DirectShow input plugin)

So, the screen remains black throughout the video.

Answering the questions:

1) I use the 32-bit version. I did not know there were 64 bit version of VirtualDub.
2) Yes, I use version 1.9.11.
3) It works in Windows Media Player.

Sorry I did not reply before.

Thanks.

Check whether you have appropriate codecs.
(You most probably don't)

Try to update the codecs, like Haali and ffdshow-tryouts.

Remember, for 32-bit VirtualDub you need 32-bit codecs instead for 64-bit VirtualDub you need 64-bit codecs.
You can also install both if you want.

Upload a sample file (possibly small) to a free file hosting site (like http://www.megaupload.com/) and then post the link here, so I can try directly.

The audio doesn't work but the video works fine in VirtualDub.
The DirectShow input plugin doesn't always work directly, try with File => Open video file => select the video (single click, not double click) => select "DirectShow input driver" from drop down list => select the Open button.

Open the video with GraphStudio (inside K-Lite Codec Pack) and post a screenshot.
