Hey guys,
i canīt start some videos (avi) and virtual dub tell me:
error reading source frame 0 , error decompressing video frame 0, Virtual dub can not decode 4:2:2 Motion JPEG frames with image.
I donīt know what to do. The curious ist that from at least 10 videos i get from the same cam vitual dup open 8 without this error funktion.
i would be realy thankfull for help |

If they're actual avi's then install ffdshow http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/
Make sure the vfw option is ticked when you install
Then on the start menu, start ffdshow's vfw configuration program
On it's decoders tab, look for mjpeg and set it to libavcodec, then click ok to close the config program
Start virtualdub and see if it'll load correctly it then

Try
In virtualdubs options->avi
Untick 'prefer internal video decoders....' if it's already ticked

There are two input plugins that might work, FFMpeg and DirectShow
http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act...=ST&f=7&t=19488
To use, you extract them into the plugins32 folder inside virtualdubs'
Then start virtualdub, select the file you want with the open file dialog, and then change the dropdown to the plugin you want to try
