when i try to append several pieces of video together, i get the following error message:
"the video streams do not share a common sampling rate"
How can I fix this?
I've looked through the forums and didn't see the answer to my questions.
thanks |

You can open up the videos, change their frame rates to match one another and resave the videos through using direct stream copy mode, same with the audio, direct stream copy. |

I can't seem to find where to do that. under the video tab, there is a selection that says frame rates, but they are all the same for the video segments i want to join |

If the frame rates are identically the same, in that case it's the audio that is a little off in each or one of the clips. Process the video as direct stream copy and use full processing mode under the audio tab. Under the audio tab there is a conversion option which will let you set the sampling rate, if it was a little off. Then you choose compression for the audio and select either WAV or Lame MP3.
Don't use the MPEG layer 3 codec by MS since it has a low bitrate. That codec can be fixed to accept higher bitrates but it is somewhat involved to do. Lame MP3 is the best choice. If you don't have that you can get it here: http://www.free-codecs.com/lame_acm_codec_download.htm |
