Well, I saw the final result when the sad wreckage was brought to me in an attempt to savage the hard drive ;-)
Safety tip
If you're going to sand down anything wooden with an electric sander and really fine paper
1) Don't do it right next to a running pc
2) Pay attention, those whisps of smoke may not be from the wood, but from the dust that has started smouldering in the psu
3) If you have ignored both of those, don't be surprised when the pc suddenly turns into a small box of fire

How's this for a break in traditions: Instead of sitting by the fireplace at Christmas time with egg nog; one could sit by the computerplace. Just throw in some more coasters to keep the kindle going. |
