I downloaded the latest version of MPC-HC and the EVR options are grayed out. I don't what it is I'm missing? I remembered having EVR enabled for preventing tearing of video some time ago.

I put in a new drive and redid everything over from scratch. This sure beats what I was working with before. Talk about smooooooth.

You need to install .NET Framework to use EVR on Win XP, I don't remember what version you need.

Thanks ale. I think I might automagically get that after installing freemake. Version 4 I think it is. Are these .net packages accumulative like the service packs for windows are where if you download the latest package you have everything?

I thought it was weird, but apparently it's true... the EVR was backported from Vista and included in the .NET Framework. Looks like 3.5 SP1 might have it.
