What causes either an icon or a folder to create a ghost image after dragging either one to another location? It's as if they get visually stuck.
Example: http://rjschat.dyndns.org:8080/paranoha/ap.../vdub/stuck.jpg
This has happened many times before and sometimes I can drag back and not release the folder or I have to reboot to get rid of the ghost. Is there another way to refresh windows to rid of these ghost created icons/folders without rebooting? |

Weird. Probably the best way is to try to perturb the window from which you originally started the drag, as that would be in control of the drag image. |

The stuck folder image lasted for a few hours that night. I had left the computer for a little while to tend some an errand, came back and it was gone.
I wonder if that has anything to do with the showing of folder/icon contents while dragging. I went into system settings then under the performance section and unchecked the option to show contents while dragging. |
