Not long ago I made a post about a metallic effect I was getting with converting AAC files.

I don't know what happened but I never got this effect

Sometimes it happens near the beginning of the video and will last for like half of a second. Other times the effect can be more erratic. One posted mention that it might be something called a seeking bug?

I did recently install the AAC ACM codec. This effect still happens. Kind of sounds like when you're being seated at the barber chair getting your sides buzzed off, lol.

I have never had this effect before. I put in a new drive last month and put back my programs from the old drive and I don't know what's going on. Playing the original Flip and Kodak video files with AAC are fine, it's after they are processed that I get this effect.

Do I need a different AAC decoder?
