Job Control, Aborting a segmented file

So I was testing out a script and accidentaly entered in 1023 as the max output file size; I wanted 1 gb chuncks from a 1.5 gb file. I thought the script took mb, not kb.

I tried to abort, quit, postpone, etc without success. Job control kept running for another 100 aborts or so.
