I wasn't aware of that external encoder feature. Took me a little time to find the right parameters to get x264 working, but now it runs fine. I use it to start the 64 bit encoder and the mkvmerge muxer from the 32 bit vdub - nice feature! (At least as long as you don't have to change the encoder parameters too frequently.)
However, even in 32 bit ffvdub sometimes caused a crash on my machine. But I couldn't reproduce it, so I can't report here. But in the 32 bit domain there are enough other filters to do a certain job. (Though, it would be great, if the ffvdub error was fixed.) |
