i recently got a hold of a MKV file and the subtitles in it were in an ASS format (Advanced sub station).I opened the file in VirtualDubMod and tried to demox the ASS file but it convetrted it to a SRT file with ASS fetures( like:
87 00:05:37,900 --> 00:05:40,940 87,0,defolt,,0000,0000,0000,,Bla bla bla....
is this a bug or is there a way to get the file in it's original format?
Edit: oops.wrong forum.this is to go to the VDM bug report.would someone please move it? thanks

VdubMod cant handle the ASS subs stream in MKV
Use 'mkvextract' from Mosu's mkvtoolnix ( win32 version ) package ... http://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolni...dlinst_binaries
-------------------- Visit the unofficial Virtualdub support forum on http://forums.virtualdub.org - help to reduce the big number of emails Avery Lee is getting every day !! Support matroska as container and Gstreamer as the only truely open, x-platform multimedia platform .... |
