Hi,

I want to start a frame server for adding Subtitles to my AVI. I make use of the TextSub 2.23 filter. I add a .SRT for this movie. But when previewing i see the text in the picture window.

Is it posible to lower the subtiteling down into the black "unused space". I know this can be done with .IDX files.

Thanks for any help!

Greetzz, Bas.

Hi Bas,

Yes it's is quite easy to do that.

1 - load your Avi
2 - goto > Video > Filters > Add > Resize filter

If your Avi is for example 576 x 352 and you want to make SVCD 480x480
you resize to 576 x 352 (precise bicubic) and checkmark the expand letterbox and fill in the new 576 x 576.

3 - if the black bar is too small for two lines of text you can use (Shiftwrap)
4 - Add the texsub filter with the subs.

That's it!!

Good luck smile.gif
