(Sorry if this should be in the noobie section - wasn't sure!) Hi All Basically, I'm having a problem joining (using the append option in virtualdub) 2 AVI's together. They are both exactly the same in terms of frame rate, audio, size, codec, etc, and they do join together, BUT In the second half of the joined file, the audio is out of synch with the video I have been using the 'direct stream copy' for both audio and video, as thats what i want, a nice quick way to join a bunch of avi clips. Any help would be much appreciated, as im a bit confused Cocksy

What's the video source. DVD? Perhaps you need to account for a delay.

Thanks fcchandler, that other thread is the exact problem i'm having! Neo Neko - I think the original source may have been DVD, but I only have the separate avi files, and each of them on their own is just fine, completely in synch audio all the way through, it just gets screwed up when i try to join the separate parts! I'm gonna give avisynth a go, but never used it before, and seems quite daunting! Thanks Cocksy
