Unofficial VirtualDub Support Forums > Advanced Video Processing > Q About Splitting Betweek K-frames

Posted by: junglemike Dec 26 2002, 01:34 AM
If i understand correctly, when you split file in some point, Dub goes to the nearest keyframe instead(as i tried it cannot split between kframes- ) But the question is - Is The audio(if exist) it taken from the point of splitting or from the nearest keyframe. i.e if i have some bad file that heve very few keyframes - could be some a/v synch problem with splitting.
Thankx for any welcome replies.

In my experience not cutting on keyframes has not cause audio sync problems. About not cutting on keyframes AviUtil let me cut on non-keyframes but the resulting file was marred with floating blocks rolleyes.gif
