Unofficial VirtualDub Support Forums > Newbie Questions > Is There A Simpler Way To Do This?

Hi,
I was wondering if there is a simpler way to normelize (to 100%) the audio volume of a video file?
the procidure I used was like that: saveing the audio stream as a wave file....doing what ever we want with the audio.....and muxing the audio with the video again.
Isn't there a way to normelize the volume inside virtualdub? (without gussing by how much we want to amplify the volume, or extracting the audio.)

thanks.

smile.gif Hello, ElSo, and welcome to the forum.

I also have to go through this same procedure all the time, so I am in total agreement that an audio normalization feature would be nice to have. Maybe some C++ programmer (even Avery!) will read your post and become inspired. Heck, I may attempt it myself if I get time.
