Sorry for the stupid question, but how do you split an avi file so you can burn it on a cd?

Hi there, does the file need to be an avi file, are you trying to make a VCD or SVCD? If so, you try encoding the avi file to Mpeg1 and that should lower the size of the file that you have. Alternatively if it has to be an avi file you could load the avi file back into VD and then by selecting a range ie halfway and then saving that again that should give you a smaller file size, do remember to name the different parts as 1,2,3 etc.
