| My question is about a loss of resolution when joining video clips with virtualdub. I have joined several video clips, all with the same parameters, and the resulting file size is very close to the sum of the sizes of the original clips, which suggests that virtualdub has simply concatenated them. However, the display resolution of the joined video is only about half that of the original clips - diagonal lines become diagonal staircases. Is there any way to preserve the original resolution? I did the joining using the method described in this forum. One thing that may be relevant is that Windows XP tells me that the original clips are MPEGs, but the joined file is an AVI. |

| You cant use Vdub to concatenate MPEG files. Use TMPEGencoder or BB-mpeg tools from www.doom9.org or www.vcdhelper.com ... |
