| Edit: Ok so I read VirtualDub manual and in order to edit in direct stream mode it has to be at the end of keyframe.. so if I use shift button to locate keyframes I can edit fine ? Hi, I have an AVI file that I recorded using Camtasia Studio. It's a screen capture video which I need to edit as a folder window popped up into the recording area which I do not want. I searched the Internet looking to edit without quality loss (without re econding) which VirtualDub's Direct Stream Copy was recommended but I'm having issues. I import the video, navigate to area, set my markers and cut the frames but when I export the AVI it still shows that window popping up even then when I play inside VirtualDub the window has gone The exported video reports it's duration is smaller so I don't understand what is happening Thanks VirtualDub 1.10.4 | Build 35491 Windows 7 SP1 32 bit |

| It's a limitation of direct stream copy, see this for more info http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act=ST&f=5&t=19365 |

Yes, but keyframes might be 5 or 10 seconds apart. We can give you better advice if get a http://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo report for a typical file. Here's the best way to do it:
