I havent been able to figure out a way to save edits in virtualdub.
Lets say for example I was trimming example.avi and applying a resize filter
I want to turn off the computer and work on the video editing later.
Its sort of like how you can save a video in movie maker as a project file without rendering. It just
saves your edits you can continue editing. Know what i mean
Excuse the bad english

You can do it two ways

1)
this just saves all of your settings/edits etc -> file menu, save processing settings and load processing settings

2)
use the job control system. when you're ready to finish use the file menu-> queue batch operation-> save as avi
then when you want to reload, file menu-> job control, then pick the file you saved there, and click the reload button

Sorry, if it in video edited much, it is necessary more many.
Your option a little than will help. Better - to save such file with full processing (if wanted to do at the end full processing). Then it is possible to edit the received file till the end and already to keep at "Smart rendering". Will remain one many faster and to be recoded only in editing areas.
