Unofficial VirtualDub Support Forums > Newbie Questions > Rendering 2 Audio Streams

Posted by: aido Aug 24 2013, 01:15 PM
So when i recorded a video, i recorded 2 audio tracks, one from speakers and one from my microphone, and when i put the video into virtualdub it only allows me to select one audio stream, so i can only render one stream or the other. Is there a way to render both audio streams, while keeping them separate (for further editing later)?

Actually in VirtualDub (version 1.9.11 // 1.10.4-test11) it is not possible to render AVI's with more than one audio track.

It seems like you will have to use a (rather old) tool like NanDub (predecessor of VirtualDub):

1. Select Stream "A" and encode with video.
2. Select Stream "B" and Save WAV (no video).
3. Import Stream "B" separately into your editor. cool.gif
